Kuala Lumpur has recently been ranked as one of the 18th Best Holiday Destinations worldwide in a survey that was carried out by Which? (a UK-based non-profit establishment).
Kuala Lumpur Ranks As World’s 18th Best Holiday Destination
Ranking in 18th place out of 37 cities all over the world, Kuala Lumpur topped and came up a spot above many popular cities such as Hong Kong, Toronto, Abu Dhabi, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and more.

Rated across 7 categories that include “Food and Drink, Accommodation, Cultural Sights and Tourist Attractions, Shopping, Ease Of Getting Around, Lack Of Crowds and Value For Money,” Kuala Lumpur achieved a City Score of 75% with these rankings:
- Food and Drinks: ⅘ Stars
- Accomodation: ⅘ Stars
- Cultural Sights and Tourist Attractions: ⅗ Stars
- Shopping: ⅘ Stars
- Ease of Getting Around: ⅖ Stars
- Lack Of Crowds: ⅖ Stars
- Value For Money: ⅘ Stars
According to the annual survey that had more than 1,800 respondents, Sydney ranked as the best holiday destination, with a City Score of 88%. Among the top 5 are Cape Town (85%), Chicago (84%), Kyoto (84%) and Singapore (84%).
