Delivery riders definitely play a crucial role when it comes down to modern day convenience, especially during the peak of the Covid-19 lockdowns. That being said, it’s our duty to be nice to them as it’s the least we can do for those who offer us convenience. Unfortunately for this delivery rider, his dignity and feelings took a dip as he encounters a rather hostile customer.

In a recent post that was originally posted by Mohd Yusmadi but later shared across multiple Facebook pages, the man had expressed his feelings while he was at work. He mentioned that it was raining rather heavily as he was on his way to a customer’s residential area to deliver their food order.

As he arrived at the designated area, he went ahead and passed the food to his customers, drenched in rainwater. Unfortunately, his customer was not appreciative of his efforts trying his best to bring their orders as soon as possible, as an attempt to not get their hands wet, his customer placed the RM5 note on top of a pole. Unfortunately, the rain and wind has caused the money to fall onto the ground.

As he sees the RM5 lying on the ground, he wanted to not pick the money up as he felt crushed that his hard work was met with hostility, but the thought of his children having to buy some necessities from the market has made him changed his mind. He then decided to humble himself and picked the money up from the ground and left.

“For the sake of my kids, I will lower my ego and pick up the money”, ending his post.

Here’s a gentle reminder to always treat one with kindness, regardless of their occupation as we all deserve basic human respect.
