“If you love me, add Jalapeño”, Kind employee adds Jalapeño peppers into salad bowl after receiving note

When it comes to customer service, their task is to ensure that their customers are satisfied with their service. However, it’s worth noting that employees are also employed to not only serve customers, but to ensure that they’re following company protocols. Just recently, a Malaysian named Isra has shared her encounter.

Sharing her encounter to Wau Post, Isra mentioned that working as trainee counsellor is rather taxing mentally. After going through a rough day, she found herself questioning if humanity was still present.

“I was feeling really low and working as a trainee counsellor made me realise how broken we all are”, she mentioned.

Deciding to stay in, Isra then ordered a salad bowl for dinner, adding that it’s a restaurant that she frequents. Upon ordering her food, she added a note saying,

“If you love me, please add Jalapeño.”

Speaking to Wau Post, Isra emphasised that she understood that the employees at the restaurant didn’t have to take her request into account as it wasn’t a dietary requirement.

“It was merely a request, but even if I didn’t get it, I completely understand”, she said.

After ordering her food, Isra waited patiently for her food to arrive. Receiving her food, she opened the container and was surprised to find that the staff had added some Jalapeño peppers for her. She mentioned that even though she requested for the peppers. she really wasn’t expecting to put them in.

“I feel like faith in humanity has been slightly restored for me”, she mentioned.

Ending her story, Isra hopes that the encounter she shared could shed some positive light towards society, emphasising that there are still people out there who’d care.

Thank you for sharing your story Isra.
