“We should help when we can”, Kindhearted M’sian buys a meal for old aunty who looked exhausted

As we live in a society, it’s always nice to be kind to each other and help out as and when we can. Just recently, a Malaysian has come across an old aunty that reminded her of her parents, hence deciding to buy her a meal.

In a 32-second video posted on TikTok, Khaleeda shared that she encountered an old lady as she was having her meal with her husband and toddler. As she was having her meal, her husband noticed that there’s an old lady seated across her.

“She kept glancing at us, and my husband asked me to confront her and ask if she has eaten”, she said.

As expected, the old woman answered Khaleeda, saying that she hasn’t eaten and was thirsty. Tugging on her heartstrings, Khaleeda decided to lend a helping hand by treating her to a simple meal. Speaking to Wau Post about the encounter, Khaleeda shared that at that point of time, she and her husband only had RM60 with them.

Money can be earned again; we should help when we can

“I just resigned from my job and my husband was barely earning enough, but looking at the aunty, we really wanted to help’, she said.

Her husband then quickly ordered some food for the aunty and when she wanted to pay them back, they refused to accept the money, insisting that they want to buy her a meal. Feeling grateful, the aunty then thanked her and her husband profusely.

When asked as to why Khaleeda and her husband decided to help the aunty despite being in a hardship themselves, she said that one should always try their best to help regardless of their circumstances.

“I’d want someone to care for my parents the way we cared for the aunty. My husband told me once that money can be earned again and we should always strive to help other when we can”, she said.
