Malaysia is a country that’s filled with kind people, and this is apparent as we’ve seen many people going out of their way to help those who are struggling. Just recently, a social experiment presented by Mr. DIY Malaysia has further confirmed that Malaysians are truly one of the kindest nations you’ll meet, as they were seen helping a struggling elderly.
M’sians rush up to help elderly man who’s struggling with shopping bags
In a short video posted on YouTube, a social experiment was conducted by the Mr. DIY team. The social experiment was to see if any Malaysians would step up and help those who are in need. With that said, an old uncle was placed near the Mr. DIY store in Mid Valley Megamall, holding four huge bags of items.
As he was struggling to carry the bags, a young Malaysian approached him and asked if he needed help. The uncle then said he only had to walk to the lift at the other side and said he didn’t need help; however, the young woman was adamant to help.
“Uncle, are you alone? Are you waiting for your children?”, she asked, seemingly concerned.
The essence of Malaysia in a video
Upon hearing that he came alone she quickly decided to help him out. In a separate footage, a few other Malaysians were seen offering help to the uncle, with some offering to walk him to his car, and others helping him with the bags. As they were about to walk, a staff from MR. DIY team quickly approached those who tried to help the uncle and told them that it was a social experiment.
Looking at the social experiment, it seems like it was a success and a testament that Malaysians would come together to help someone in need, regardless of their race or religion.
Keep it up fellow Malaysians, it’s truly inspiring to see how well we embody the essence of Malaysia.
