Security guard working at hospital in Ipoh gets awarded by YDPA for outstanding service

Just yesterday (6 December), a Malaysian single mother of 2 who works as a security guard at the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital has received an invitation to attend an award ceremony! The 44-year-old Yogeswary will be awarded for her outstanding service by the YDPA on December 19.

According to local newspaper Sinar Harian, prior to receiving an invitation for the award ceremony, Yogeswary has gone viral for her dedication and act of kindness towards her job and the patients. It was reported that she was seen caring for the patients, providing extraordinary service and care to those who frequent the hospital.

As her story continues to make waves on social media, she then shared the news that she has received an invitation to attend an awards ceremony, as well as receive a medal!

When asked about her feelings when she first received the invitation letter just three days ago, Yogeswary shared that it feels very surreal.

“When I first received the letter, I was in shock and I started shedding tears of joy”, she said.

She added that she was very touched to see that her hard work and dedication in doing her job well has earned her the recognition that she deserves.

“I never thought this could happen to me. This is indeed the highest recognition I’ve received in the years that I’ve been working”, she mentioned.

Following her story, Yogeswary shared that receiving the medal would not change her stance in working. In fact, she vowed that as long as she is in good health, she will continue to work and provide exceptional service to the people, at the best of her abilities.
