Security guard shares that it was his first time celebrating his birthday after working in M’sia for 8 years

Birthdays are a joyous occasion and what makes it better is knowing that you have your friends and family close to you. Unfortunately, as the cost for living rises, many are forced to leave their families to work elsewhere in order to survive. With that said, plenty of people would then go by their days, not even celebrating their birthdays.

Security guard celebrates his birthday for the first time after working in M’sia for 8 years

Just recently, according to a TikTok posted by a telco company, Tune Talk, it showed a heartwarming video of the employees singing happy birthday to a security guard. In the video, the company expressed how they see this man every day before and after their shift. It was mentioned that he was a responsible security guard that always takes care of their safety and never fails to put a smile on his face. As a token of appreciation for his hard work, they’ve decided to surprise him with a simple birthday celebration.

In an attempt to surprise the security guard, they brought out a piece of cake for him with a candle on top. As they started singing, the security guard was still confused as to who they were celebrating for, but when he looked around, he realised that the celebration was for him.

When he found out that the celebration was for him, he bowed to all of them as a sign of appreciation and hurriedly took his mask off to blow the candle. He then took a bite of the cake and wiped the tears from his eyes, while one of the employees handed him a tissue. Seemingly touched, the security guard then revealed that it was his first time celebrating his birthday after 8 years of working in Malaysia before the video ended.

“It’s my first time celebrating my birthday in Malaysia, after 8 years of being here”, he said while wiping his tears.
