We can all remember at some point, the familiar thrill of what it’s like to travel abroad and venture out into lands unknown when on vacation. There is nothing quite like being granted the opportunity to immerse oneself in new places and cultures, while leaving the monotony of our everyday lives behind.

But what should have been a blissful vacation for one Malaysian left him in a state of disbelief after he received an unexpected phone call.

Malaysian ex-DJ shocked after discovering his account had overdraft of RM99 million

As reported on Sin Chew Daily, a Malaysian former DJ had decided to take some time off to travel around France for leisure. At some point during his vacation, he suddenly received a phone call at around 5.00am in the morning that was allegedly made from bank, but had missed it as he was sound asleep.

However upon waking up, he decided to check his bank account for good measure and was stupefied to discover that he had somehow racked up an overdraft amounting to a whopping RM99 million.

“I have no idea how it happened and there’s no way I could trace it”, he said.

Given the massive amount that the bank claims he had overdrawn from his account, the DJ then attempted to check if there were any transactions records from his bank statements that would explain the massive sum, but turned up with nothing.

Left with no other choice, he decided to contact the bank again at 2.00am Paris time in hopes of finding out what had happened and find a way to resolve the issue.

“Thankfully, the bank manager that I was dealing with was very patient and explained everything to me”, he recalled.

While he did not go into detail as to what transpired after he managed to speak to the bank manager, the DJ said that they were now in the midst of resolving it. He also thanked his friends who offered him support during this understandably nerve-wracking ordeal.

We hope he gets his clarifications soon as it can be quite daunting to hear that there’s an unknown RM99 million deficit showing up out of nowhere!
