Just a few weeks ago, Malaysians were delighted to find out that Oyen, the orange cat that’s been living with the Capybaras in their enclosure at Zoo Negara was given its own signage. Prior to this, the orange feline was seen hanging out at the Capybaras enclosure back in 2020 and hasn’t left since.
Another cat spotted hanging out at the Capybara enclosure in Zoo Negara
Thankfully the Capybaras didn’t seem to be bothered by its presence, but the zookeepers have vowed to keep an eye out for the orange feline in case it gets itself into any trouble. Following that, a netizen, masyitaahmadshaza has shared a cute video of Oyen in the Capybara’s enclosure, but with a special guest!
The 24-second video features a feline that’s coated with black and white fur. The pair seems to be staring at each other intensely and according to one of the zookeepers, the black and white cat has also been a frequent visitor in the Capybara enclosure!
“I asked the zookeeper if the other cat also lives in the Capybara enclosure but to my surprise the cat roams about freely around the zoo”, she said, adding that the cat loves frequenting the enclosure as it’s his favourite enclosure to “hang out” in.
The zookeeper also shared that as opposed to the black and white cat, Oyen lives and eats with the Capybaras, hence it was a little shocked to find another fellow feline hanging out at the enclosure.
Following her video, plenty of netizens have left their comments and here’s what some of them said:
“If Zoo Negara has plans to build a cat park, we are willing to contribute.”
“Is this car trying to take over Oyen’s place?”, joked the netizen.
“Patience Oyen.”
