Speaking to the local daily, Harian Metro, Aminah shared that other than her usual RM1 menu, she also has a separate menu where customers can order foods like mee celup perut and kerabu maggi priced between RM2 to RM3. When asked why she is adamant in pricing her food at such a low price, she mentioned that she wants to help the less fortunate.
“I’ve been told many times to increase the prices but I can’t do so”, she said.
Revealing the reason, Aminah mentioned that those who often patron her eatery are students and the less fortunate. Wanting to do her part and help the community, the kind vendor has decided to remain her prices between RM1 to RM3.
Garners immense support from the local community
As a mother to four children, Aminah understands how difficult it is to make a living outside. With most of her customers being those in the local area as well as villagers, she is certain that her prices cannot keep up with the public demand. Despite selling her items at an extremely affordable price, she shared that she is still able to make a profit.
“It may not be a lot, but alhamdulilah, it’s enough”, she expressed.
Assisted by her two children at the eatery, Aminah also shared how fulfilled she feels whenever she sees a customer being able to enjoy her food and fill their stomach.
With her generous portions at an affordable price, Aminah’s kind gesture has managed to feed families and locals alike, ensuring that they do not go hungry.
