As we celebrate Chinese New Year, it’s a norm for us to see lion dance performances everywhere. In conjunction with that, a Malaysian wife has decided to hire a lion dance performance team. However, there’s an adorable twist to it!
M’sian wife surprises husband with lion dance performance for their wedding anniversary
According to a video posted online, a Malaysian known as Kak Long online has decided to surprise her husband during their wedding anniversary. Speaking to Wau Post, she shared that she and her husband were out at a restaurant to celebrate their wedding anniversary.
Seeing that their wedding anniversary coincides with the Lunar new Year, she was inspired to hire a lion dance team to celebrate their wedding milestone.
“It wasn’t easy arranging this as I had to manage the budget for this surprise”, she said.
When researching, she shared that it was quite overwhelming as there were many options to choose from. Factoring in other concerns like location and price, after some time, she was able to find a team that matches all her needs! On the day of the surprise, Zirah and her husband were seated outside of the restaurant.
As they were having their meals, Zirah couldn’t help but glancing outside to see if the lion dance team has arrived. Spotting their arrival, she quickly pulled out her phone to film and that’s when her husband got slightly suspicious of her actions. Upon hearing the beat of the lion dance, her husband quickly turned around and noticed that the lion dance team were heading towards their table.
After a short performance, the couple then participated in simple interaction with the team. To no surprise, the video uploaded on TikTok has garnered plenty of attention from netizens and here’s what some of them said:
