In a recent event that showcases patriotism, Malaysians that were dining at a restaurant were seen getting up from their seats, upon hearing the national anthem.

Watching the video, the restaurant was filled with customers dining in and as the national anthem plays through the speaker, one of the women who noticed it looked around to gauge the situation. Noticing that it was the national anthem, she quickly stood up and her friends followed.
As the national anthem got louder, other customers who heard the song also stood up as a sign of respect. Speaking to Wau Post, Cipta Malaysia shared that the incident actually happened at a hotel in Ipoh.

“It was a social experiment to see how Malaysians would react”, they said.
Evidently, the social experiment conducted by Impiana Hotel in Ipoh was a success as it evoked the patriotism in Malaysians. Following the video, it was revealed that the video was posted back in September 16,2022, in conjunction of Malaysia Day.
As the video makes its waves around social media again, plenty of netizens have commented and here’s what some of them said:

Ending the interview, Cipta Malaysia shared that while the video may be from the past, they’re happy to see that the content shared is able to evoke a sense of patriotism amongst the community.
“We hope that we’re able to find more videos like these and continue to unite Malaysians”, they said.
