M’sian traffic officers praised for unclogging drain near road that is causing mini flood

For the most part, traffic officers are here to help with traffic congestion and maintain road orders. Just yesterday, two traffic officers located in Johor Bahru has taken the initiative by unclogging the drain at a busy road.

According to a post by Polis Daerah Johor Bahru, two officers were seen braving through the rain and unclogging a drain that’s causing a slowdown at the busy road. One of the officers were seen holding a wooden stick before getting down onto his knees, inserting the wooden stick into the drain.

Prior to this, it was reported that congestion was building up due to a mini flood occurring at the Jalan Johor Bahru-Air Hitam. Seeing that the water levels are rising, the officers decided to take the initiative and find out the cause of the mini flood.

Upon finding out that it was because of the clogged drain, both officers acted quick, trying to resolve the matter before things get worse.

“With their initiative and proactiveness towards the situation, they were able to solve the traffic buildup”, said the post, adding that traffic conditions were back to normal after the water level subsided.
