Just last month, a woman named Norasiah has shared on her socials, saying that she would like to reunite with a teacher from her high school that she feels indebted to. Taking a trip down memory as she recalls her life over 36 years ago, Norasiah mentioned that her family’s financial situation didn’t allow her to further her studies but her Chemistry teacher, Ms. Pak, had made a point to ensure that she can pursue her tertiary education.

Following her story, Norasiah shared that her prior posts on her socials have managed to get her to reconnect with her teacher and they’ve been in touch since. As Raya celebrations were in place, Norasiah took the opportunity to invite her beloved teacher to her house along with a few of her former classmates.
Speaking to local newspaper NST, Norasiah revealed that the moment she saw cikgu Pak and her husband step foot into her house, she was filled with emotions but didn’t forget to greet her before embracing her tightly. As they settled down, they began chatting about the past, going through the days where they were still studying at SMK Alor Aktar.

“I showed her pictures of us when were back in our school days and cikgu Pak managed to identify all of us though we have grown up”, she said.
Norasiah mentioned that the reunion she hosted after 36 years of not seeing each other has brought so much laughter and tears of happiness into her home, adding that it feels so surreal.
“I can’t believe it has been 36 years, it feels like all of these has just happened not long ago”, she said.

This mini reunion has not only allowed Norasiah to reconnect with her teacher, but also some other classmates who she has lost contact with over three decades ago. Following their reunion that happened over the weekend during the Raya celebrations, Norasiah and her classmates are in the midst of planning another reunion that would include the rest of her classmates along with Ms. Pak.
