“I have nothing to do when I’m waiting for my bus, so I decided to clean the station by picking up rubbish”, he said.

The 14-year-old teen would start picking up rubbish around the bus station making sure that he doesn’t miss a spot. He added on saying that while he recognises that the bus stop is a public area, he still feels immense joy and satisfaction when he knows that he is contributing to the society in his own way.

“I know it’s a public area, but I wait for the bus here every day, I like seeing that the area is clean”, he said.

Following that, Joshua shared that he would always receive free drinks and food from the vendors near the bus stop but emphasised that the free food and drinks are not his aim.

“I genuinely want to clean the space and pick the rubbish up”, he said.

The 14-year-old kid then urged for the public that frequent the area to always dispose their rubbish to the designated bins so that the area can be free of litter.

Such a thoughtful gesture, thank you for helping us keep the place clean, Joshua!
