Just over a week ago, news broke out that a 29-year-old Malaysian man named Zaim was reprimanded for smacking a woman’s forehead while hurling threats at her. Local newspaper Sin Chew Daily has reported that the 29-year-old man faced 2 charges from Section 506 of the Penal Code for criminal intimidation, and Section 323 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt.

Following that, the court has sentenced him to serve 7 days in prison but just today (June 16), he has been reprimanded and brought to court again for hurting two waiters at a restaurant on June 4 at approximately 4:20pm. It was reported that the man has lost his temper when his food arrived late and lashed out at the two waiters.
He proceeded to slap foreigner, Samir Das twice on the left cheek and Dennis Pilai four times on both cheeks. Subsequently, the factory worker was reprimanded and Deputy Public Prosecutor S. Punitha has asked for a heavier punishment so that it would serve as a lesson to the man.

Zaim who is 29 has a young son and pregnant wife pleaded guilty to the to two counts of intentionally causing hurt to the waiters and asked for a lighter sentence, saying that he has a young kid to take care of and that his wife is expected to give birth at the end of the month.
He also said that he regrets his actions and vowed to not repeat the offence. Magistrate Qasiratuljannah Usmani Othman then sentenced the man to nine days of prison and a fine of RM1,000. He is ordered to serve the sentence from the date of his arrest on June 15.
This is a reminder to always think before you act as your actions could lead to serious repercussions.
