As the cost-of-living rises, it’s been difficult to find affordable meals. With that said, plenty of people would resort to buying their own groceries and prepare their own meals. Just recently, a Malaysian man, Abdul Muiez has shared a heartwarming story about the sacrifices his wife makes.
M’sian mom wakes up at 4:30am to prepare lunch boxes for her children
According to his post on Facebook, Abdul Muiez shared that in order to teach his children the virtue of saving, his wife would wake up as early as 4:30am to prepare lunch boxes for them.
“I’d give each of my children RM3 a day. We have 4 kids so I’d spend roughly RM12 a day for their daily allowance”, he mentioned.
Wanting their children to understand the hardships of earning money, his wife would have to sacrifice a lot by prepping lunch boxes for them. As they’re in their teenage years, his wife is very meticulous when it comes to preparing their meals. In their lunch boxes, she is sure to include rice, a source of protein, vegetable as well as water.

When asked about the RM3 that he gives to each of his children, he shared that the allowance is used for them to purchase any light snacks if their meals weren’t enough. Other than that, it was said that his wife would always ensure that they have more than enough food because their kids would often share their meals with their friends.
“It’s definitely difficult but it’s for their benefit”, he said.
Ending the post, he emphasised that he acknowledges the sacrifices his wife is making, adding that she would sleep as early as 9pm. He also shared that he is very grateful that his wife is supportive of his ventures and the efforts she is putting in, for the sake of their children.
As the saying goes, parents’ love knows no bounds, and this is definitely apparent with the way they’re educating their children.
