“As time passes, he started feeling unwell and that’s when we’ve decided to sell homemade desserts”, said the aunty with a light smile.

After several discussions with her husband, they’ve decided to split their tasks, where he would cook and prepare the desserts while she would head out and sell as many puddings as she could. On weekdays during the evenings, aunty Angela would start going around the hawker centers, selling her desserts. During the weekends, she would start selling early in the day, in hopes of increasing their income.

“I would be able to sell about 60-70 containers a day”, mentioned.

Moved by her sincerity and manners

While her story was rather touching, the man shared that he was more moved by her demeanour and manners when she approached him. In his post he said,

“I was really impressed by her manners. When she approached me, she gave me a smile before asking if I wanted to buy.”

As he observes the way she approaches other customers, he realised that she would greet the customers with a smile followed by a thank you, when they don’t buy her desserts. Ending his post, he urged the public to support the aunty if they see her around, adding that she does deliveries as well.

All the best aunty Angela!
