“Last day of primary school”, 12yo students seen bidding tearful goodbye to their English teacher

Leaving school signifies a big milestone completed. And while many are eager for the new journey that awaits, some would miss the memories and routine created during their schooling days. In a recent touching display of love between students and their teacher, these 12=year-old students were seen offering their English teacher a tight hug during their last day of school.

Watching the video, a bunch of primary school students were seen lining up bidding their goodbyes to their teacher. Giving their teacher, Ms. Sylvia a tight hug, the kids couldn’t contain their tears as they were about to leave their school and advance into secondary school.

Speaking to Wau Post, Sylvia shared that she has been teaching in the school for 5 years. Sharing her experience as a teacher, she mentioned that she has been teaching the kids for 3 years, since 2021.

“As a teacher I try my very best to ensure that all of my pupils achieve something or have somewhat progressed in their learning after every lesson”, she said.

While she is passionate about her job, Sylvia shared that she has had her fair share of challenges. Despite having half a decade of experience, her biggest challenge trying to meet the various needs of a class that has mixed ability pupils. However, even with the challenges faced, Sylvia remains positive and faithful to sowing, ensuring that all her students can flourish.

“Be it knowledge, love, care and even values and it brings me so much joy to see fruits bearing forth”, she mentioned.

Recalling her favourite memory with her students, Sylvia said that it was definitely when her students planned a surprise birthday party for her. Together with her student’s parents, all of them bought her a birthday cake as well as food for their celebration.
