Kind foreign lecturer lets his students park their electric bike in class so it doesn’t get stolen

While the primary responsibility of a lecturer is to deliver lectures and teach students in their area of expertise, they are also partially responsible for their students’ well-being and safety. Just recently, a foreign lecturer in Malaysia has gone viral after his act of kindness.

Kind foreign lecturer lets his students park their electric bike in class, so it doesn’t get stolen

According to a video shared by Ashya, one of her classmates would usually ride an electric bike to attend lectures. Speaking to Wau Post, Ashya shared that initially, her classmate had left the bike outside of the classroom. As their lecturer found out that an electric bike is her way of commute, he was worried that her bike would get stolen if she parked it outside. Looking at the situation, the kind lecturer then asked her classmate to bring her bike in.

Speaking to Wau Post, Ashya shared that both her and her lecturer didn’t expect for the video to gain traction. In regard to the encouragement the kind lecturer, Mr. Aslam, shared that he is indeed touched and overwhelmed.

“I didn’t expect a small gesture of mine would go viral. I believe any lecturer would’ve done the same to ensure their students’ well-being”, he said.
