Documenting his work life on TikTok, Dr. Yuzairi shared that he was teaching a class of Japanese students on how to make pisang goreng! As the name suggests, pisang goreng is a famous Malaysian snack featuring bananas deep fried with batter. The snack is versatile as it can be enjoyed on its own or with scoops of ice cream!

Interacting with the primary students in a school located in Hioki City, all the children present were excited to learn and Dr. Yuzairi was patient to guide them from to finish. Entering the classroom, the students then greeted Dr. Yuzairi in Bahasa Melayu saying “good morning!”. As they were frying the bananas, a pair of chopsticks were used, symbolising the fusion of culture between Malaysia and Japan.

Asking the students, “Where do you want to visit?”, the children answered saying “Malaysia!”, with the biggest grin on their face. Speaking to Wau Post, Dr. Yuzairi shared that he has been working in Japan for over half a year. Prior to applying for this job from the Japan embassy, Dr. Yuzairi was a lecturer in UniMAP, Perlis.
