Losing a loved one is definitely hard, especially when you’ve spent most of your time with them. Just recently, a 25-year-old Malaysian has shared a heartfelt moment when she celebrated her late mum’s birthday at her grave.
25yo M’sian pens heartfelt message at mum’s grave on her birthday
Deciding to celebrate her late mum’s birthday, the woman had prepared a birthday cake and a packet of chicken wings to bring to her grave. After arriving, she quickly set up and lit the candle up, before singing the birthday song for her mother. Blowing the candle, the 25-year-old couldn’t help but reminisce the times she had spent with her mother.

Speaking to Wau Post, the woman shared that prior to her mum’s passing, she was very close with her mum. As she recalled the days, she mentioned they were almost inseparable.
“Unfortunately, on March 19, 2023, we’ve lost my mum to cancer”, she said.
When asked about her siblings, she mentioned that she has 2 sisters who were also very close to their late mum. As distraught as they were with the news of their mother’s passing, they understood that it was the circle of life. Recounting the past, they shared that their mother was truly the light of their life, as she was always so bright and positive.

“It’s almost been a year and while things have gotten slightly easier, the feeling of missing her still persists”, she said.
Sharing the post onto her social media, the filial daughter emphasized that her posts are purely dedicated to her mum as a way to remember her. Touched by her story, many netizens have commented on her post and here’s what some of them said:
