Just today, a giant tree located at Jalan Sultan Ismail has fell, causing major roadblocks, damaging multiple cars. The tree branches of the uprooted tree have also fallen onto the monorail tracks between the Bukit Nanas and Raja Chula station. Due to the unforeseen circumstances, the monorail is now experiencing delays and service is suspended.

According to local newspaper Malay Mail, the fallen tree had also damaged a bus stand and taxi stop. Unfortunately, the accident has also cause multiple cars to be stuck and damaged. Following that, the fire and rescue department in Kuala Lumpur received the distress news and have extricated 2 victims that were involved in the accident.
In addition to that, New Straits Time has reported the death of a male victim, explaining that the tree had fallen on top of his car. Due to the tragic accident, both sides of the roads have been closed off and authorities are working round the clock to ensure that they’re able to resolve the matter.
Video clips of the fallen tree is said to be circulating around WhatsApp and various social media channels. Looking at the dashcam clip, the incident was likely to have happened at approximately 2:47pm where road users were experiencing strong gushing wind and heavy rain.
As of now, the death toll remains at one. Local newspaper Sin Chew Daily has reported that the tragic accident has damaged a total of 17 cars.
