Recalling the incident in his post, Ridzuan was on a leisure ride from Changkat to Ban Pecah. Spending about 1 hour at Ban Pecah, he then decided to head home. Knowing that he has filled the fuel to the brim, Ridzuan didn’t think much about it and stasrted riding his Panther home.

However, midway through his journey, his motorbike came to a halt and when he took a glance at his fuel gauge, it was already empty. Shocked at the sight of an empty tank, the man was left with no choice but to push his vehicle to the nearest petrol station located 6km away.

“I was shocked because no one has been riding the bike but me. There’s no way my son could’ve borrowed it as he has his own bike”, said Ridzuan.

As he was slowly pushing his vehicle by the roadside, he came across 4 different motorcyclist who were carrying fishing gears, but none of them offered to assist him or stop to check up. Heading the opposite direction was a Chinese woman accompanied by a young child.

Not expecting anything from them, he continued pushing his vehicle but to his surprise, the woman made a quick U-turn and stopped next to him. The woman asked if he was heading to the petrol station, and he answered yes.

“That’s really far away. Why not I help you buy fuel and come back”, she offered.

Declining her offer as he didn’t want to trouble her, he said,

“No, it’s okay, I can just slowly push my bike until I reach the station.”

Adamant to help, the woman then persuaded him to stay where he was as she would quickly make a trip to the gas station and fetch him some oil. Thankful for her help, she then rode off to the petrol station. Wanting to make things easier for the woman, Ridzuan continued pushing his motorcycle to the best of his abilities, before an Indian youth stopped to check up on him.

He informed the youth that a woman has offered to buy him fuel, but he would appreciate the youth’s help with his bike. Shortly after, the woman returned with one-litre of oil and helped him fill up his tank. To express his gratitude towards the lady, he then paid the woman RM5.

Experiencing the kindness, Ridzuan shared that the incident has allowed him to witness the beauty of how harmonious Malaysians can be with each other.
