Over the years, MAS Airline staffs have always donned their iconic green kebaya uniform. Marking the end of an era, Malaysia Aviation group has announced recently that a change on the uniform has been made.
MAS Airline employee wears their iconic uniform for the last time
Unveiling the new uniform, which comprises a tailored three-piece suit, the change in the uniform embraces modernity, while maintaining tributes to the cultural roots of Malaysia. Just recently, a MAS Airline employee, Yaya has shared a simple video, commemorating their last day of wearing the green kebaya piece.
In the video, the ground staffs were seen providing exceptional service to those who are about to board their flights. While they will certainly miss wearing the iconic Batik piece, Yaya shared that the newly tailored uniform is actually more muslimah friendly, as compared to the kebaya piece.
Other than that, Datuk Izham Ismail, the Group managing director of MAG revealed that the change of the uniform is inevitable as it is a representation of adaptation and improvement as time passes. On a similar note, the newly introduced uniform becomes a perfect example of how practicality can be combined with style seamlessly.
“The new uniform symbolises their commitment to professionalism and equality”, adding that inclusion of the songket motif embedded on the suit is an appreciation to the country’s vibrant culture.
In a separate video, Yaya also shared the first day of wearing the new uniform, and the uniform donned definitely highlights the professionalism of the crew.
The change in uniform truly marks the end of an era, but we are excited to see what’s to come for MAS! Do you like their new uniform? Let us know!
