M’sian sisters spotted selling curry puffs by the roadside to earn a living after their father passed away

In a recent event that tugged on the heartstrings of many, a pair of siblings were spotted holding up baskets filled with curry puffs by the roadside. Spotted by a good samaritan, he immediately stopped his car and checked on the girls.

Speaking to Wau Post, Saharuddin shared that he was on his way to visit a rumah asnaf in Sabah, when they stumbled upon a pair of siblings by the roadside. Worried for their safety, the man immediately stopped his car and headed over to the pair of siblings. Upon asking, Saharuddin was heartbroken to hear that the siblings were selling curry puffs by the roadside to support their family.

“I asked them where their parents were and they told me that their dad has passed on”, said the man.

Sympathizing with the siblings’ encounter in life, he then decided to buy some curry puffs from them and offered them RM20 each. The siblings, who were touched by the kindness of the man then gave him a quick hug, before wiping away her

Forced to support their family after their dad passed

In his post, Saharuddin mentioned that he was distraught to see that the young girls would have to resort to selling goods by the roadside to help support their lives. When asked about their daily meals, he was shocked to find out that the girls would only have one meal a day as they didn’t have enough money to buy a pack of 5kg rice.

Determined to help the two hardworking siblings, Saharuddin returned the next day with a car full of groceries. By providing the siblings with 2 cartons of eggs and some necessities, the girls were seen smiling, seemingly grateful for the help they received.
