Residing in a small town, Seremban, a 4-year-old Malaysian girl has gone viral after setting 5 world records! Meet Thevissha, the young girl that was able to name over 100 world leaders in under 4 minutes!
4yo girl names over 100 world leaders under 4 minutes, sets 5 world records
Speaking to Wau Post, Thevissha’s mother, Datin Shamala shared that she first discovered her daughter’s extraordinary gift while they were in the car. As they were driving, she started teaching her daughter about planets and to their surprise, she was able to memorize the planets according to the sequence.

Discovering her talents, Thevissha’s parents began slowly training her. Depending on the little girl’s mood, she is able to remember up to 10 names a day! When asked about her hobby, Datin Shamala shared that her daughter would always be with a book and a pencil.
“Everywhere she goes, she would bring a pencil and a book. Even during play time, she would rather be with the book”, she said.
Besides memorization, the young prodigy have also started learning chess and swimming. Following her journey, Thevissha successfully managed to bag 5 world records which are:
- Amazing Malaysia Book of Records
- British World Records
- Asian World Record
- Champion World Record
- Official World Record Council – Youngest kid in Malaysia & world to name most of the world leader’s name in under 4 minutes. (100 leaders)

Meets Youth & Sports Minister, YB Hannah Yeoh
And to no surprise, Thevissha’s extraordinary gift has garnered the attention of our Youth & Sports Minister, Hannah Yeoh! Proud of her achievements, Datin Shamala also mentioned that their meet up with Hannah Yeoh was very fruitful as there a special task for Thevissha that she will be revealing soon!
Expressing how proud they are towards their daughter, Datin Shamala dived into their personal family life, revealing that Thevissha is actually her and her husband, Dato Vignesvaran’s miracle baby. After 7 years of marriage 9 miscarriages, she was finally able to bear her child to full term, giving birth to Thevissha.
“She’s brought a lot of joy and laughter into our lives, we are more than proud to be her parents”, she mentioned.

Faced loads of critism, but will not give up!
However, it was not all sunshine and butterflies for the little family. Datin Shamala revealed that there are people who doubted her child, crticising her and her husband’s choice of raising their child. Despite the negativity thrown at the couple, they’ve decided to ignore it and support their daughter’s journey.

Thankfully, with their support and persistence, Thevissha’s achievements proved to have been worth it, leading her to become the pride and joy of the nation and the Indian community.
Adding onto her achievements, Thevissha is fluent in English and Tamil, while learning Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin. With the classes she’s attending she is able to write in English, Tamil Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin!
