Speaking to Wau Post, Eusoff’s mother, Karina has shared that she discovered that her son can pick up languages rather quickly. She shared that just a month ago, her son has begged for her to let him learn Tamil, but because they don’t speak the language in their household, they found it slightly difficult to help him through.

“Seeing that he has an interest in Tamil, I decided to download some syllable games on the iPad to let him learn Tamil”, she said.

After 3 weeks of watching Tamil syllable videos, her son is now able to read basic Tamil scripts and wrote his first Tamil character. Speaking frankly, she was quite surprised to see her son being able to pick up the language so quickly as he didn’t get to study it every day.

Learned Jawi when he was 3!

Following Eusoff’s journey, Karina shared that when Eusoff was 3, he stunned them by being able to write Jawi letters just after watching several YouTube videos regarding Jawi syllables.

“We didn’t think of teaching him that because we wanted him to focus on ABC instead”, she mentioned.

However, his eagerness to learn languages didn’t stop there, instead, he was able to pick up Russian alphabets, followed by the Gregorian letters. The pair has also begun sending him for Mandarin classes to prepare him for school as they’re planning to enroll him into a Chinese primary school.

Recalling the past, Karina revealed that Eusoff was a slow speaking toddler, but things took a turn when he was 2 as he had the ability to string 3 to 4 words in a go. She then said that both her and her husband will continue to support the interest of their child as long as it helps with the development of his mind.
