Over the years, the public transport system has improved significantly in Malaysia. While there are still slight mishaps, it’s worth noting that the maintenance crew work diligently to ensure that the trail is safe for users.

Just recently, Rapid KL has shared a TikTok video of them conducting their trail maintenance. As soon as midnight hits, the team would then make their way to the station to check on the condition of the LRT tracks. According to the spokesperson in the video, he revealed that the maintenance would usually take a 12-men team to complete.

For their maintenance, they would have to ensure that the plugs, screws and nuts on the tracks are secured, so it doesn’t affect the safety of public transport users. He emphasised that the job is tiring as the men in charge would have to work round the clock to ensure that everything runs smoothly before the stations resume their operations early in the morning.

Malaysians expressing their gratitude

“It’s a tiring job, and we hope that many would show us support for what we do”, he said.

He also shared that each night, a team of 10 to 12 men would come to the stations to fix anything that needs maintenance. Following their video, plenty of netizens have left their comments and here’s what some of them said:
