Over the past few years, Malaysians have been hit with a wave of scam and fraudulent cases. While most Malaysians are being as cautious as possible by not clicking into any suspicious links or downloading any apps that API files, it’s unfortunate that many would still be victims of such fraudulent activities.
M’sian shared how she got a refund after her card got charged randomly by scammers on Facebook
Recently, many Malaysians have reported that their cards have been charged by scammers on Facebook and for some, they may not even realise that their cards have been compromised and unauthorised transactions were made. This is because the money that is deducted would normally be small amounts ranging from RM1 to over RM100.
With that said, a Malaysian named Natasha shared a simple guide on how to retrieve the money from unauthorised transactions. According to her post, she mentioned that once she realised that her card was charged without her authorisation, the first thing she did was block her card.

Once she has blocked her card, she proceeded to head over to her Facebook account and clicked on orders and payments and requested for help. She then contacted Facebook’s support team and pick unauthorised and unknown charges. Moving forward, once the necessary information has been filled up, all you have to do is submit the request form.

Days later, she received a notification on her Facebook, notifying her that her payment account has been disabled for suspected fraud. She received an e-mail from Facebook saying that they will begin with the refund process which would take up to 3 to 5 business days. Thankfully, she received her refund within 3 working days and urged the public to try this method if they detect unauthorised transaction from their bank accounts.
