Thieves hits M’sian man with helmet, rob him of RM150k after he faints outside Kuantan bank

One of the scariest things that an individual can encounter is getting robbed. Not only would you be worried that your life is in danger, but your hard-earned money can also be taken away just like that. Unfortunately for this man, it was a rather ‘expensive’ encounter.

Malaysian man hit with helmet before losing consciousness & robbed of RM150,000

As reported by local newspaper, China Press, the man was at a bank located in Kuantan around 2:40pm when the whole ordeal happened. According to a witness at the scene, he mentioned that while he was running errands in the bank when he heard someone screaming that there has been a robbery.

When he walked out of the bank to see what had happened, he saw the victim laying on the ground. The victim who appears to be middle aged named Zhang (transliteration) had retrieved a hefty RM150,000 from the bank. After retrieving the money, he walked straight to his car and out of nowhere, a motorcycle came by.

One of the robbers used a helmet to hit him, causing him to lose his consciousness on the spot. The robbers then took the RM150,000 he retrieved and successfully fled the scene, leaving Zhang unconscious at the roadside.

It was also alleged that Zhang’s wife was at the scene of the crime. Following that, many bystanders have offered their helping hand and used their umbrellas to provide shade for the man.

An ambulance then arrived around 20 minutes after, and the man was sent to a hospital nearby for medical treatment. As of now, there has been no reports regarding if the robbery was targeted.
