Last weekend, six states in Malaysia have held their state elections. The six states that were involved the elections were Selangor, Kedah, Terengganu, Penang, Negeri Sembilan and Kelantan. With that said, plenty of netizens have urged for Malaysians to exercise their rights and vote for their desired politic party for a better tomorrow.

M’sian touched by an elderly who voted despite being in a wheelchair

Following the news, a fellow Malaysian has shared a rather heartwarming and touching story as he headed over to the polling station to vote. In a post posted by Low on Facebook, he shared that he headed over to their designated polling station to exercise their rights as a Malaysian. As he went over, he was pleasantly surprised to see that they had to queue up.

When he was queuing up to cast their votes, Low overheard a conversation between a mother and son. Looking over, an elderly woman was being pushed on a wheelchair to cast her vote.

“Wow, it’s so great to see the elderlies exercising their right, despite having to be on a wheelchair”, said the son.

Upon hearing his comments, the mom then replied to him saying,

“She’s very old already and I’m sure she isn’t voting for herself. she is voting for you (the younger generation) in hopes for a better Malaysia.”

Feeling touched, Low decided to share the story, to which he has garnered plenty of attention online with over 900 shares.

It’s truly touching to see Malaysians showing up and casting their voted! Good job to all those who showed up and voted, thank you for exercising your rights and here’s to a better Malaysia!
