Just weeks ago, Malaysians were fairly surprised with the announcement in one of Uncle Roger’s YouTube video, sharing that he will be heading back to Malaysia, to set up his restaurant! While initial details were scarce, the comedian himself then started releasing more information, including the location as well as the launch date of his restaurant!

Taking it to his X (formerly known as Twitter) account, Nigel shared that he will be taking a break from making YouTube videos this month, as he is busy with the setup of his new restaurant. Located in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, the man shared that this has been a lifelong dream of his, to be able to open his own restaurant.
“Never in my life would I expect this to be a reality. 4 years ago, I was just a comedian making silly videos in my apartment”, he said.

Looking at the interior of his restaurant, a huge sign was plastered on the ceiling with the words “The best fried rice in town!”. The restaurant’s walls as well as decorations are mostly in orange, similar to the colour of his signature shirt.
Set to open on September 11, those who are looking to have a chance to interact with Uncle Roger can show up in his signature Orange Polo tee, a carry bag and white covered shoes, on September 14 as they attempt to break the Guiness World Record. The whole process will also be documented in his video, which will be posted to his channel.
