Security guards are often underappreciated as their job entails plenty of responsibilities like ensuring the safety of people who frequent the area, often putting their own lives in danger if trespassers are aggressive. On Thursday (13 April), a TikTok user named Edris has shared a video about a security guard showcasing his talent.
Security guard showcases talent by playing piano at the Raja Tun Uda library
In the 35-second video posted on TikTok by Edris, he filmed a security guard just casually playing on the piano located in the library. As the security guard noticed that someone was filming him, he stopped playing the piano immediately letting out a sheepish smile before walking away.
Edris then went closer to where the guard was and asked for him to play a few more songs. The guard then casually played a few notes and to his surprise, the guard was playing a soundtrack from a famous Anime called Howl’s Moving Castle. Following that, he gracefully played snippets of a Beethoven’s classic: Für Elise. And if you think that’s talented, he was even able to play SZA’s hit song, Kill Bill! Speaking to Wau Post, Edris has mentioned that he didn’t manage to get the guard’s name but is planning to make a trip back to the library when he’s free.
As his video garnered traction, plenty netizens have left comments praising how talented the security guard is and here’s what some of them said:
“He may be a guard but he so good at playing the piano. I think an individual’s talent shouldn’t be judged based on his occupation.”
“You should sit and just play it. You need to unwind and be you sometimes. Sending love to this guy.”
“Wow, he is so talented, it’s not easy to find someone who is that good at playing the piano.”
