“Sawadeeka!”, Pack your bags & travel to Hatyai with KTMB for as low as RM95!

Known for its rich cultural heritage, stunning beaches, vibrant cities, and delicious cuisine, Thailand is definitely one of the countries that’s included in the must-travel list! And to make it affordable for Malaysians, KTMB has offered a promotion that runs on specific dates throughout the year, where you can take the train from Malaysia to Hatyai!

Pack your bags & travel to Hatyai with KTMB for as low as RM95!

Named as the My Sawasdee train, Malaysians can now book a one-way seatred ticket to Hatyai for RM95! Alternatively, visitors can also opt for a more comfortable ride, which is the sleeper train that costs RM109 and RM119 respectively for the upper and lower berth!

In addition to that, the charter train will take less stops in-between, therefore shortening the travel time for passengers! Boarding at KL Sentral, those traveling with the My Sawasdee train would be required to disembark when they arrive at Padang Besar, in order to go through necessary checks with the Thai and Malaysia immigration, before continuing the rest of the journey.

The train is scheduled to leave KL Sentral at 10:50pm Malaysian time and is estimated to reach Thailand by 8:50am Thailand time the next day! As for the departing train back to Kuala Lumpur, it will leave at 10:20am Thailand time and arrive at KL Sentral at 10:52pm Malaysian time!

Ticket sales are available today (March 4) for the trip that will commence from 11 April to 14 April. However, it’s worth noting that KTMB reserves the right to amend the ticket purchase date without prior notice.

The earliest commence date for the My Sawasdee train would be from 11 April to 14 April and consecutive dates to follow are:

  • 31 May – 3 June
  • 5 July – 8 July
  • 31 October – 3 November
  • 29 November – 2 December
  • 6 December – 9 December
  • 13 December – 16 December
  • 23 December – 26 December
