When it comes to our health, it’s important to note that we should watch what we consume as it could jeopardise our health. Unfortunately, for this 29-year-old woman, it seems like her unhealthy eating habits have caused her to lose a leg.

29yo M’sian had her leg amputated due to eating too much junk food

According to a TikTok video shared by @kedidi_kakipalsu, a young woman hailing from Jerantut, Pahang has been diagnosed with diabetes over a decade ago, when she was contacted for the National Service Training Programme. As she was about the join the programme, she did a body checkup to ensure that she was fit for it, but to her surprise, her doctor has advised her against it.

Her doctor then revealed that he is concerned of her nutrient intake, adding that she wouldn’t be able to consume her medicines on time if she headed for the programme. Fast forward few months later, she was diagnosed with diabetes and had to take insulin. When asked about her food intake, the woman admitted that her eating habits are rather unhealthy as she consumed heavy amounts of junk food, during her secondary school days.

However, it’s worth noting that other than her unhealthy eating habits, her family has also had the history of diabetes, which could be one of the cause of her being diagnosed with the condition.

“Unfortunately, my conditioned worsened two years ago and I had no choice but to get one of my legs amputated”, she said. What’s shocking is that she is currently 29 years’ old and when she had her leg amputated, she was only 27.

This is a reminder to always watch what you eat and go for annual checkups to ensure that your body is in good health.
