Malaysian roadways can be a pretty interesting, if not also incredibly stress-inducing, place to be in. From the obligatory rush-hour traffic jams that can eat up an average of 44-hours from your life every month to the peculiar nature that some accidents can occur, there’s rarely ever a dull moment when one gets behind the wheel here. And just recently, yet another bizarre incident would go on to prove this to be true.
Perodua Bezza seen trying to drive up motorcycle overpass
In a video that was recently shared to community Facebook page 我们是马来西亚人 We are Malaysians, the driver of a silver Perodua Bezza compact sedan was caught on camera attempting to drive up along a motorcycle overpass. Constructed to allow motorcyclists to travel across busy motorways, these structures are understandably nowhere near wide enough to accommodate the berth of an entire car.
Which is why as one can expect, the driver’s questionable decision to do so eventually landed them in a sticky situation when they realised that there wasn’t any room for them to maneuver up a corner.
But when they did realise their mistake, it came a little too late as their car had been positioned at an incredibly sharp angle, making the prospect of reversing back down the bridge without causing any damage a precarious affair.
Predictably, motorcyclists who were present at the scene were left dumbfounded by the driver’s obliviousness, with some resorting to stopping their motorbikes on the overpass to speak to the individual behind the wheel.
“Bezza tak dapat ‘bezzakan‘”
The video, which has since attracted some considerable amount of attention from local netizens, have led to a number of hilarious and sardonic comments concerning the Perodua Bezza owner’s driving ability.
“I guess the ”Bezza’ can’t ‘differentiate’ (the Malay word for different is ‘beza’).”
“You can take one look at know that it clearly isn’t meant for cars. How did this person even get a license?”
“It makes sense given its name, so it must always be ‘different’ compared to other people.”
