In most cases, we often remember associating a sense of scholarly purpose with our school classroom. And that’s no surprise given the fact that they are meant to serve as places of learning. If anything, fun is often a pretty distant notion when sitting down at your seat and pulling out your textbooks and homework on your desk.
Malaysian schoolteacher transforms his classroom
But 33 lucky students from a school in Malaysia will definitely have more to look forward to when heading to class than most, after their schoolteacher decided to take it upon himself to redecorate their classroom and inject a little more excitement into its four walls.
As shared by Hanif (@hanifazhar777) recently onto his TikTok account, he explains how he came up with the intention of sprucing up the aging space in hopes of being able to motivate them in school every day.
In a series of photographs of the classroom before the transformation, it’s evident that Hanif has his work cut out for him, considering the deep grime and walls that may have once shone in a vibrant pink, but have since been left caked with stains. Similarly, bulletin boards have also turned grey from repeated use, betraying their age.
But that did not stop Hanif from embarking on his grand effort. Upon discussing with his students, they eventually decided to settle on giving the classroom a complete Marvel makeover!
Subsequent images from after the transformation show a remarkable change, with students being greeted by an ‘Avengers, Assemble!’ poster, complete with classroom rules. Hanif also made good use of all the available wall real-estate, decking it out with a daily chores roster chart, an attendance chart, class timetable, among others.
A truly conducive learning space!
Students present in his class appear to be divided into groups based on a series of Marvel superheroes, and will receive dedicated spaces to showcase their works.
And in a nod to positive emotional growth, the class even comes equipped with facilities such as a ‘Superhero Mailbox’ which they can use to write their feelings down and stow away, in addition to a ‘How are you feeling today?’ board, where students can express their emotions through various sections.
Another board also teaches his students on the importance of teamwork, collaboration, and mutual respect, taking after Tony Stark’s daughter, ‘I love you, 3000’ line from Avengers Endgame.
The series of images has since gone viral over social media, with many netizens praising Hanif for his inspired creativity.
