Teachers have one of the most crucial roles in a children’s life as they’re the ones to impart wisdom and knowledge. Apart from their own parents, children would spend most of their time in school or at tuition centres learning. With that said, teachers definitely deserve to feel appreciated especially during teacher’s day!

For those who are unfamiliar, Teacher’s Day in Malaysia would fall on May 16 and although it may not be a public holiday for schools, there are celebrations held to celebrate and honour teachers. Plenty of students would also purchase gifts for their teacher as a token of appreciation.

Just recently, Nadia, who is a mother of 3 has shared a hilarious post onto her socials, sharing the unusual gift she has decided upon to give her children’s teachers. In her post she said,

“I was having a headache figuring out a present to gift my children’s teacher and then it clicked!”

Nadia decided to gift her children’s teachers a bottle of minyak angin each. Minyak angin is an ointment that is known for helping to cure headaches. Without much hesitation, Nadia purchased a big box of the said ointment and placed a simple bow and note on each bottle.

Speaking to Wau Post, Nadia mentioned that 3 of her kids are studying in a school located in Rawang. She mentioned that the total cost for this gift was a little over RM100 and gave a price breakdown. She revealed that she had purchased about 40 bottles of ointment with each bottle costing her RM2.50, totaling up to RM100. She then purchased 60 pieces of ribbon bow that was RM2.50 and her total cost for the gifts were RM102.50.

“The reason why I prepared gifts for their teachers was because I wanted my children to learn how to appreciate those who have positive impact in our lives, and teachers are definitely one of them”, she shared.
