Next to enjoying food, sports is also one of Malaysians’ favorite past times. Being a marathon runner is seriously a challenging feat, which many athletes can agree on.

The beauty of true sportsmanship was captured in a video that has been going viral online. TikTok user Aimandope uploaded a short clip showing one man supporting his fellow runner with a cramped leg.

The video was taken during the Kuala Lumpur Standard Chartered Marathon (KLSCM) over the weekend. In the clip, the injured runner can be seen clinging onto his companion and struggling to walk.

The display of camaraderie between the two men set off a chain of positivity. Shortly after, another runner came to their aid by applying a muscle relief spray.

Earns praise from netizens

Many netizens were touched by the heartwarming video and praised the man’s selfless nature. Speaking to Wau Post, Aiman found out that the Good Samaritan was apparently an acquaintance of a friend. Soon enough, some users who recognized the man pointed out his identity.
