As Malaysians, one thing’s for sure is our love for food! With many races living in a country, it’s safe to say that Malaysia is a place filled with variety when it comes to food. Just recently, a Malaysian couple has made headlines by taking their pre-wedding shoot at a pan mee store in Ampang!
M’sian couple decides to take their pre-wedding shoot at a pan mee store in Ampang!
Speaking to Wau Post, Pricilla shared that she and her partner, Alex have been together for 11 years and have decided to tie the knot! As they were brainstorming ideas for their pre-wedding shoot, a random idea popped in their head.

“We’ve been patronising the store for over a decade, and we thought it would be meaningful to have our pre-wedding shoot there”, she said.
And because they’ve been regular customers, Pricilla mentioned that they didn’t have to book the entire place for the shoot. She added that the owner of the shop could recognise them after years of supporting his business and he was quick to give them the green light when they asked him for permission.

Love for Pan Mee, love of my life
Prior to this Pricilla and Alex shared that their first lunch together was actually at a Pan Mee shop. Ever since their first lunch together, they’ve made it a plan to try out as many Pan Mee shops they can, before finally landing on their favourite one located in Ampang.

With the help of their photographers, who were long time friends of theirs and the owner of the restaurant, the lovely couple agreed that the shoot was definitely one of the best experiences they’ve had. If they could use a word to describe their entire interaction during the shoot, it was simply, genuine.
“The uncle kept checking up on us making sure that we have everything we need”, said Priscilla.

When asked about their favourite photo from the series, both Pricilla and Alex picked the picture where they were looking at each other with bowls of half-eaten Pan Mee on their table.
“Even after 11 years, he still looks at me this way. It reminds me of when we first met”, she said, adding that the half-eaten bowls of noodle are also part of their love story.

Friends hanging out, with love to share
Speaking to the photographer, Amanda from Cxpturing Souls, she shared that one of the challenges when shooting for the couple was the mood setting.
“I had to make sure that the both of them are relaxed and chill so I could capture their love as naturally as possible”, said Amanda.

Thankfully, as they were long time friends, Amanda shared that she thoroughly enjoyed herself shooting for the couple as she was able to witness the genuine love the couple had for each other. She described the experience as chill yet fun, as if they were just hanging out at an eatery.
With her skills and their interactions genuine, Amanda was able to get all the shots they needed within an hour!
