Over the years, online gambling has been on the rise with many influencers endorsing the gambling sites. With that said, online gambling can be addictive, and it’s essential for users to engage in responsible gambling practices.

Just recently, a Malaysian influencer, Hao Ren has shared a post on his socials regarding a movie that will be premiering soon. In his post, he promptly urged other influencers to stop accepting jobs that promote online gambling.

“You may think it’s fine to do so because all you have to do is make the site look reputable with your image, but you don’t know how cruel they are behind the scenes”, he said.

He mentioned that he understood why some influencers would choose to accept the jobs as it’s a source of income for them, but now that they’re aware of the situation, he hopes that they would stop endorsing it. He shared that the movie content depicts current events that are happening to countless of victims who were scammed.

Heart of greed will ruin one’s life

“The director shared that what’s shown on screen is merely 1% of what’s happening in real life”, he wrote.

Prior to the movie, the director has heard stories from the victims on what goes behind the scenes. He revealed that the director also watched some footages of the cruel acts, saying that the scamming syndicates are very cruel and merciless. Unfortunately, upon completing the movie, the director has also received multiple life-threatening threats.

Following that, he urged for the public to not engage in any gambling activities as it could change the trajectory of one’s life.

“Don’t engage in online gambling activities as you could be their next victim”, he said.
