M’sian comedian ‘Uncle Roger’ to set up his first restaurant in M’sia!

Over the couple of years, Malaysian comedian and YouTube sensation, Nigel Ng has blown up on the internet for his character, Uncle Roger. Following his journey where he amassed a whopping number of 9 million subscribers on YouTube, he has made an announcement in his recent video about his future plans.

Watching the video for ourselves, in the video titled, “Uncle Roger Misses Anthony Bourdain”, he was seen talking about Laksa, a famous dish in Malaysia. Sharing in the clip he said,

“If you love food, you have to travel to Uncle Roger’s country (Malaysia).”

He followed up by saying that the food in Malaysia is flavour packed and filled with spices that you can’t get elsewhere. With most of the ingredients being locally produced, it makes the food stand out. On top of that, at 7:55, the comedian then revealed his big announcement, mentioning that he will be opening his very first restaurant in Malaysia.

On top of that, Ng also mentioned that those who wishes to try out his signature dish, the Uncle Roger Chilli Crab Pasta can now purchase online. Despite numerous warnings about the shipping costs as well as the noodles being packaged like instant noodles, he continues to reassure his fans that the noodles purchased are of restaurant quality.

“It may look like instant noodles, but it is not. It is restaurant quality”, he mentioned.

As of now, the comedian has yet to announce any details of his restaurant but one thing the public can expect is that his restaurant will be coming soon later this year.
