As the cost of living rises, the government has rolled out an initiative to help the locals tide through. The Payung Rahmah initiative that was introduced back in January includes multiple programmes like such as Bakul Rahmah, Kafe Rahmah, Jualan Murah Rahmah, and Barangan Rahmah.
MOF Eyewear joins the Rahmah initiative offering affordable glasses
Just 2 days ago, minister of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living, Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub, took it to his Facebook to announce that a trusted eye care provider, MOG Eyewear has decided to join in on the Payung Rahmah initiative. The announcement was made at one of their outlets in Johor where Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub was present.
As per other Rahmah programmes, the initiative aims to help those provide affordable and quality eyeglasses for those who are in need. Locals can now acquire glasses that cost around RM50 to RM100 and for an additional RM100, consumers can choose to upgrade their lenses to blue cut lenses, where it helps protect the eyes from ultraviolet.
For those who are unfamiliar, MOG Eyewear is a trusted eye care provider that has over 96 brands nationwide. According to their Facebook post, MOG Eyewear proudly announced that the Rahmah Glasses package will commence on June 10.
Following the announcement of the Rahmah Glasses initiative, Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub also shared that this is just the start of introducing other programmes under the Payung Rahmah initiative.
“The government is committed to ensuring that locals who are in need of vision care is well taken care of”, he mentioned, adding the government is actively working on making sure that the initiatives rolled out are beneficial to the locals.
