The Amazing Race is a multi-Emmy award winning reality TV show that features 12 pairs of contestants, racing against each other to win a whopping $1million USD (RM4.6 million). With a limited budget, the teams are asked to embard on an adventure where they would have to complete a series of challenges in order to advance to the next destination.
Malaysia rumoured to be featured in The Amazing Race as filming was done in Penang!
Just over the weekend, a Twitter user named Malik has shared two short videos onto his social media. Watching the videos, it appears that he spotted two teams walking through the streets in Penang. Speaking to Wau Post, Malik shared that he was just casually strolling to the streets in Penang at Chowrasta Market.

Subsequently, he saw a team passing through the streets and realised that they were filming for The Amazing Race. Seemingly excited, Malik then pulled his phone out to film this incident. Malik expressed his excitement in his tweets jokingly saying that he can’t wait to see himself on TV.

While it is possible that the future seasons would include Malaysia, it remains unclear as to which season would Malaysia appear in as it was reported that season 35 has finished its filming back in November last year.
Following his tweet, plenty of Malaysians have expressed their excitement to see Malaysia on the maps of international TV and here’s what some of them said:
“Wow nice. I’ve not watched Amazing Race in a long time.”
