M’sian mother insists on cooking for her family despite being on a wheelchair
Hailing from Temerloh, a TikTok user @ejoy_carrier_5421 shared a footage of his loving mother, adamant in cooking despite being unwell. Sharing his story, Faizul and his family had departed from Kuala Lumpur, heading back to Felda Lakum to celebrate the long weekend and festive season.
“Knowing that we were heading back to celebrate the festivity, my mother has decided to cook for all of us”, he said.
Recording it spontaneously, Faizul shared how grateful he was that his mother was adamant in cooking despite being on a wheelchair. Not wanting his mother to be tired out, he then advised her to rest but she insisted on cooking for all her children and grandchildren. In order to help their mother, they then decided to cook the rest of the food, only allowing their mother to make her famous peanut sauce and beef rendang.
While her health isn’t as great as it was back then, Faizul shared that his mother’s cooking still tasted great as ever. Being able to still taste his mother’s cooking, Faizul mentioned that both him and his brother Mohd Shafie Razali are grateful.
“My mother is currently on a wheelchair because she has gone through surgery earlier this year after stepping on a rusted nail”, he mentioned.
When asked how he felt after his video blew up, Faizul revealed that he was surprised to see his video gaining traction. Through his video, he hopes that those who saw his video will be inspired to take care of their family members more, showing gratitude towards them.
As the saying goes, a mother’s love knows no bounds and this woman has perfectly embodied the essence of love and sacrifice a mother is willing to make, to put a smile on her family’s face.
