Over the years, the cost-of-living has increased significantly. With that said, one of the main expenses would definitely be paying rent or instalment for their house. In an attempt to reduce his cost-of-living significantly, this Malaysian man has decided to live in his car, saving up to RM2,000 a month!

Sharing his journey on TikTok, Mushamir is a 32-year-old Malaysian who was inspired to follow an unconventional method of living, after watching a YouTube video. Giving a tour of his mobile home, the man has transformed the back of his car into a living space where he could sleep.

Reclining the front of his seats and utilizing ice boxes for a good night’s sleep, Mushamir’s Proton Iriz is also equipped with a generator that could power up lights and fans, allowing him to watch movies, read books and play video games. Other than the fact that he’s living in a car, Mushamir’s day-to-day life includes showering at public restrooms, gyms, or gas stations, as well as jogging.

“To me it’s no different than living in a house. Many may assume that I’m homeless or jobless, but I’m not”, he mentioned.
