Operating his fruit stall as early as 7am, this 84-year-old uncle has perfectly showcased the qualities of resilience, hard work and dedication. According to a post by Uncle Kentang, he shared that he was on route to an LRT station with his son and while he was on his way back, he encountered an 84-year-old man, manning his fruit truck.
Hardworking 84yo M’sian insists on selling fruits as early as 7AM
Approaching the old man, he found out that the hardworking man has been operating his fruits stall for over 31 years! In his post he wrote,
“He has a 74-year-old wife and 2 children. Both of their children are successful and can take care of themselves, yet he continues to ply his fruits.”

Admiring his hardworking nature, the old man shared that one of the main reasons why he insists on manning his stall, selling fruits for over 3 decades is because he knows the quality of his fruits. He mentioned that he has built up a good repo with his supplier over the years and he would always handpick the best fruits for him to sell.
“I’ve been taking fruits from my supplier for 31 years, never once have I owed him any money”, said the hardworking man.

Despite being at the age of 84, the uncle is still in good health and is free from any illness. With his healthy body, the man refuses to rest, as he believes that serving the people with quality fruits is also important.
“He is beaming with pride, because of the quality of his fruits”, wrote Uncle Kentang.

Ending his post, Uncle Kentang mentioned that customers can locate him in front of MCD Puchong Perdana, where he plies his fresh fruits daily. However, it’s worth noting that his operation time ends at around 1pm!
