“I want to do something with my life”, M’sian man now works as an e-hailing driver after losing his leg in an accident

In a twist of fate back in 2011, a fatal car accident has caused Muhammad Azizi Abdul Manab to lose one his legs, turning his life upside down. However, despite the challenges thrown at him, Azizi was able to rise up and conquer them all, making him an inspiration to all of us.

According to local newspaper Harian Metro, Muhammad Azizi who is currently 35 years old now works as an e-hailing driver. Recalling his story, he mentioned that he was involved in a car crash back in 2011, causing him to lose one of his legs. Feeling devastated, Azizi then asked his then girlfriend to leave him and look for someone else.

“I told her to leave me as I didn’t want to drag her down, but she refused”, he said.

After over a year, the pair then got married and with the help of his family and friends, he finally had the courage to start looking for a job. Thankfully, he was able to land a job as a cashier at a petrol station. With his first job experience, Azizi was slowly getting used to the work life.

Shortly after, he was offered a compensation from his insurance, where they were able to offer him a prosthetic leg. Sponsored by “Feet4life”, Azizi is now able to finally learn how to be independent again, without needing much assistance from his family.

“I can finally have a glimpse of what it feels like to stand on my two feet again”, he said.

With his newfound independence, Azizi now works as a e-hailing driver and is able to make an income for himself! Thank you for showing us the true meaning of resilience.
