In a recent interesting event, a Malaysian cleaner, Mohd Nazri Abd Wazir was announced as one of the lucky draw winners after opening an account with BSN over 2 decades ago.
Retired cleaner becomes millionaire after winning lucky draw
According to local newswire agency Bernama, the 61-year-old man hailing from Parit revealed that he was in disbelieve when he received the message that he had won the lucky draw. After verification, the man finally accepted that he was one of the lucky winners and was delighted to find out that he had won a total of RM1 million from the lucky draw!
“I stated the account back in 2003.”, said Mohd Nazri, adding that the reason for the account was because he wanted to save up some funds in case of an emergency.

Attracted to the lucrative prizes offered and high dividends given to depositors, Mohd Nazri began his saving journey with BSN before purchasing a certificate last year. Stating that he wanted to try out his luck, he was surprised to receive a call informing him of his win. When ask what he’d do with the prize money won, the man shared that he would use it to bring his 84-year-old mother for Umrah and haj.
“I also have the money earmarked for my daily expenses”, he mentioned.
In similar news, 57-year-old Mohd Nasir Abdullah was surprised to find out that he had won RM50,000 as part of the bank’s 50th anniversary draw. Speaking to the local newswire agency, the man shared that he had started saving with the bank since he was single.
Joining the lucky draw last year, the father of three children is thrilled to find out that he had won the lucky draw, adding that the amount won is significantly beneficial to his three children who are still schooling.
